Born in Burbank, California, Erin Moran first appeared at the age of five in a TV commercial for First Federal Bank, and later was cast as the recurring character of Jenny Jones in the 1968 season of Daktari. That same year she made her feature-film debut in How Sweet It Is! In 1974, at age 13 she was cast in her signature role of Joanie, Richie Cunningham's baby sister, on ABC's hit series Happy Days.
Erin Moran died at the age of 56 from complications of stage 4 throat cancer.
