Armando Perez

Armando Perez grew up in a very large family in Brownsville, TX. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Abilene Christian University at Dallas.

In December 1972, Armando graduated from the Dallas Police Academy and began his work as a DPD officer in the Patrol Division. After 26 years with DPD working in such various departments as Vice Control, Internal Affairs, and Intelligence Division, he became a Homicide Detective in 1996.

From 1996 until his retirement in 2008, Armando worked in the Homicide Division. He interviewed witnesses and suspects, collected and studied evidence, prepped prosecution reports for criminal indictments and testified at numerous trials.

Although Armando wore many hats in his years at DPD, his experience as a Homicide Detective was the most rewarding (and stressful!). Now in retirement, Armando owns his own Private Investigations Company and works with the State Department training for the Homicide Division of the Honduras National Police.
