Laura Shaw is the current series producer of Emmerdale since December 2018.
In April 2018, it was announced that then-producer Iain MacLeod would leave Emmerdale to become the new series producer of Coronation Street in June, following the sudden resignation of Kate Oates. It was then later announced that Laura and Kate Brooks would work as series producers on a rotational basis, with Jane Hudson as executive producer. Laura's first episode was transmitted 25th December 2018.
She previously worked as a Script Editor from 2007 to 2018 and previously served in the producer role alongside Sophie Roper from June 2024 to March 2025 after Kate Brooks took up the producer role at Coronation Street.
