Jane Arden

Jane Arden was born 1959 in England, spent her childhood in Hong Kong, and returned to Britain to train at the Theatre Arts School in Sussex. After her first Shakespeare role as Jessica in The Merchant of Venice, she became a founding member of the British Actors Theatre Company, a group democratically directed by the actors themselves, and toured as Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew, Celia in As You Like It, and Hoyden in Vanbrugh's The Relapse.
