Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Ken Page attended Fontbonne College in Clayton Missouri on a full scholarship, majoring in theatre. He began his career in the chorus of the St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre before moving to New York, where he became the Lion in the original Broadway run of The Wiz. In 1984 he made a guest appearance in an episode of Gimme a Break!, in 1985 he appeared in an episode of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and then in 1987 he landed the recurring role of Joe 'Cheesecake' Tyson in the series Sable.
Ken Page died in his sleep at the age of 70.
