A famous scientist has disappeared while searching for a remote island. None of the many search parties have been able to locate the island, despite knowing its approximate coordinates. Steve and Rudy set out to look, also, on a navy vessel. They discover a small sailboat foundering, and Steve rescues its lone occupant, a beautiful and likeable young half-alien lady named Da Nay, the daughter of the missing scientist (he had landed on the island some years earlier, married one of the local alien women, and had been living there ever since), who had been on her way to a nearby human-inhabited island to purchase vials of an experimental medicine to cure a debilitating illness among the aliens that was caused by a tiny satellite that had crashed on their island and is now emitting harmful mind-and-tissue-altering radiation. Steve assists Da Nay to procure the medicine, then returns with her to her people's island, which has been fitted with a cloaking device that makes it invisible to outsiders. Once there, Steve and Da Nay discover that Da Nay's four best gentleman-friends --- formerly kind peaceable fellows who had always adored Da Nay like a sister --- have been strongly affected by the satellite's radiation and become rogue warriors, who are now intent on taking over the aliens' complex. Steve locates the downed satellite, and learns that its radiation can be altered to reverse its ill effects on those exposed to it; he then holds the satellite up towards the four youths who are attempting to breach the compound's gates, neutralizing the aggressive influences that they'd been afflicted with, and returning them to their former benign selves. The scientist then takes charge of distributing the medicine to the island's inhabitants, while Steve bids a fond farewell to Da Nay and takes the satellite back with him.
