A woman suffering from depression and anxiety thinks she is ready to come off her medication, and a mother of three encounters difficulties with her contraceptive implant.

Paul comes in complaining of an excruciating pain in his throat, diabetic Paula worries about a sudden dip in her blood sugar levels and railway worker Darren shows Dr Qamar some unsightly lumps on his back.

Elderly patient Brian arrives concerned that his feet have turned an alarming shade of blue. But Dr Williams seems more worried about his low mood. A man arrives after an episode of abdominal pain so severe it made him vomit and seek help in A&E the night before, while a woman is suffering insomnia, which in turn may be triggering depression. Nurse Rosie issues a warning to patient Pat when her blood tests reveal her sugar levels have skyrocketed and Dr Arif treats a baby with constipation.

A student studying for her A-levels is struggling to sit at her desk due to pain in her collar bone, a new mother with hip problems comes in to discuss the cocktail of strong painkillers she is taking to manage her pain, and a man has an annoying growth on his head that bleeds whenever he combs his hair. Dr Wyne discusses the available care options with an elderly gentleman who has mixed dementia and his daughter.

Dr Razak's first patient of the day is Muriel, an elderly woman who recently suffered a mini-stroke. She is reluctant to take her blood pressure medication because she has an aversion to drugs - but as the doctor explains, not doing so could make things even worse. Elaine asks Dr Costigan to give her painful knee a once-over and 92-year-old Elizabeth comes in for her regular heart check-up.

The doctors treat a number of patients who have already sought help for their problems online. A health app has recommended that Maryam, who is experiencing dizzy spells and bloating, should be screened for irritable bowel syndrome, while Paul says that Google has told him his sleeping difficulties and loud snoring are caused by sleep apnoea. Depression sufferer Tina returns to the surgery for advice from Dr Wyne.

Dr Qamar counsels a journalist named Zahid who has PTSD after being imprisoned and tortured in Afghanistan. Dr Williams sends Royston for a scan to look for signs of prostate cancer, although the patient is adamant it should not be before an upcoming fishing trip he has arranged. Dr Mao turns medical detective when patient Andrew describes a combination of numbness in his jaw and face, and a cannabis smoker complains of chest pains and shakes.

A look at how patients should decide whether to go to A&E or a GP, including the case of a patient who has recently completed a course of antibiotics for an insect bite on his face. Mohammed thinks the worst about his headaches and chest pains, but Dr Singal puts his mind at rest, while Pratibha has a pain in her foot, and although Dr Arif quickly diagnoses arthritis, the GP is more concerned with the patient's painkiller intake.

First up is regular elderly patient Catherine, who is in to see Dr Aireen Razak about her dizziness and balance issues, which recently caused a fall. This looks like a case of vertigo, but seven years ago, Catherine was diagnosed with a neurological condition called Guillain-Barré syndrome, and it may be flaring up. Dr Sonia Ashraf meets a lady who recently had an operation to remove an ectopic pregnancy, and has been struggling to get pregnant ever since. She also had one of her ovaries removed, and has been diagnosed with endometriosis.
