Book recommendations, childhood memories and some specially commissioned musical arrangements for Book Week NI in 2020. Emma Vardy presents a light-hearted celebration of books and reading in association with Libraries NI, with contributions from celebrity guests and a book-themed medley performed by members of the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast Central Library.

Those taking part include the Chief Constable, Suzie Lee, Connor Phillips, Marie-Louise Connolly, Paddy Raff, the Children's Commissioner, Jan Carson, the interim Mental Health Champion, the BBC's Director-General and Joel M.

We hear about how books can provide comfort, inspiration and escape, helping us to understand ourselves and each other and to make the autumn evenings brighter. Featuring classic tales, picture books, children's stories, memoir and much more, this is an eclectic and very personal selection that has something for everyone.
