Season 5 - Episode Guide

Mister Rogers talks about the alphabet and tries to recite it backwards; Daniel and Joe Negri are anxious for X to return from summer school. They stock his tree with prunes and apricots.

Mister Rogers shows the equipment cowboys wear; Maxine Miller's looking for Friday in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Because Lady Elaine has turned his castle garden into a ranch, he and Maxine decide to scare her away by making her think the ranch is haunted. Rather than being frightened, Lady Elaine decides to name her ranch "Ghost Ranch."

Mister Rogers demonstrates household moving by taking the furniture from one dollhouse and putting it in another; Lady Elaine would like to have Friday haunt her ghost ranch every night, but he refuses. Handyman Negri dresses up as a ghost and encourages Donkey Hodie to stay at the ranch.

Mister Rogers pretends to talk with Henrietta on the pineapple can telephone. He makes an ice cream sundae and drinks a glass of milk; The pineapple can telephone is missing from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Friday wants Josie Carey to explain its disappearance, but she knows nothing. He tells her about Donkey Hodie's snoring, and who appears with a windmill and the pineapple can telephone.

Mister Rogers shows a disguise kit and asks his viewers what they will dress up as for Halloween; Jamie Rogers visits with Daniel in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Daniel would like to wear a pair of wings, but Lady Elaine will not let him borrow them. Friday invites Jamie to have a glass of chocolate milk. They encourage Lady Elaine to dress up as a princess so Daniel can borrow her wings.

Mister Rogers plays with a white rabbit and talks about smiling. He shows a film of a dance lesson; Mr. Cloudhopper visits with Henrietta and X. Unfortunately, he has forgotten how to talk. Lady Elaine tries to scare him into talking, but X remembers how Cloudhopper was able to speak before: he thought out loud.

Mister Rogers shows a ring-neck pheasant and asks his viewers to hop and dance around to music. He wonders if X is flying today. Later he shows a film of a dance lesson. Mister Rogers says that his daily visits begin tomorrow; X tells Daniel about seeing a giant pheasant in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The giant pheasant is actually a man in costume. The man shows off his baby to Daniel and X.

Lady Judinaze, Friday's missing niece, returns to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

Lady Judinaze plans for a parade that Friday is having in her honor.

Lady Judinaze sings "Cinderella as a Princess".

Mister Rogers shows how shoes are put together. He also has a hammer and an apron; Daniel and Joe Negri talk about the "Elf, the Shoemaker, and the Shoemaker's Wife" play.

Mister Rogers has boys', girl's, men's and women's shoes; Friday agrees to Josie Carey's suggestions as to who should play what role in the Shoemaker play. However, the play must be performed in Some Place Else.

Mister Rogers plays with an elf doll and tells the story of "The Elves and the Shoemaker"; Josie Carey and X practice their songs for the Shoemaker play, but they are disheartened because Friday wants them to find Some Place Else to perform the play. Donkey Hodie says they will find the proper place.

Mister Rogers puts on an elf hat and wonders how elves walk. He says the Neighborhood of Make-Believe neighbors are putting on the play "The Elf, the Shoemaker, and the Shoemaker's Wife."; The Neighbors perform their play in Some Place Else.

Mister Rogers plays animal sounds on the piano and asks his viewers to pretend along with the music; Emilie Jacobson recites poetry with Daniel.

Mister Rogers draws a number grid; Charlie Appel is nervous about performing in front of Friday. When he has trouble with a magic trick, Donkey Hodie distracts Friday.

Mister Rogers plays with water toys and shows an aquarium full of fish; Captain Blye decorates the Neighborhood of Make-Believe with Christmas greens. Friday commands him to decorate the entire castle. Unfortunately, the greens in the basement cause a small fire. Captain Blye and Willie Saunders extinguish the fire and talk with Friday about the danger of his rule.

Mister Rogers adds his pet, piano, and plant to his family portrait; Mr. Anybody borrows some items from X and Henrietta so he can dress up as a cowboy. X does not want to play the bad guy, but Henrietta says she will be the bad girl.

Mister Rogers shows a hen and her eggs; Mr. Anybody is pretending to be a chef. He fries an egg for Donkey Hodie.

Mister Rogers shows the hats chefs wear; Edgar is upset because he will never wear the black hat of a master chef. Mr. Anybody talks with Donkey Hodie about the problem. They decide to give Edgar black bands for each good meal he cooks. The black will eventually cover up the white on his hat.

Mister Rogers has a live animal with him. He plays music that sounds like animals; Frank Napier films X and Henrietta. He also shows them a film that was shot in a jungle.

Mister Rogers shows some items that came from Japan; Peggy Hodges visits Daniel and tells him a Japanese story.

Mister Rogers shows how musicians write music; Janine Essex performs a concert for Friday.

Mister Rogers plays bells, a glockenspiel, and a recorder. He shows a film about the Middle East; Daniel and Joe Negri make a doll bed. Singers from St. Edmund's Academy perform for Friday.

Mister Rogers shows family portraits. He visits an animal that's been adopted from a rescue league; Sue Morris gives Christmas gifts to X, Henrietta and Daniel.

Mister Rogers makes a snowflake out of paper. He wonders if his viewers have ever made snowmen; X tells Captain Blye he would like to receive an orange for Christmas. Friday orders Captain Blye to search for Old Man Winter. He finally appears and has a meeting with Friday.

Mister Rogers plays hide and seek with the camera; Captain Blye is leaving the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He says goodbye to Daniel and Grandpere.

Mister Rogers is wrapping Christmas gifts for his father and his rabbit, Hippity; X hopes to receive an orange for Christmas. Friday dictates to Henrietta the list of Christmas gifts he is giving to the Neighbors.

Mister Rogers feeds his rabbit, Hippity. He also shows drawings children have made of Hippity; X would like to receive an orange for Christmas. He and Daniel talk about Jesus. Joe Negri sings a Christmas carol.

Mister Rogers shows the Christmas gifts he received. He tries on different hats and selects his favorite; X, Henrietta, and Daniel show off the Christmas gifts they received. Emilie Jacobson has tea with Friday. He gives her a record album.

Mister Rogers blows bubbles; Donkey Hodie and Lady Judinaze are anxious for Van Cliburn to arrive. They learn Mr. Cliburn will only perform for Friday. Still, X and Daniel catch a glimpse of him as he is leaving the castle.

Mister Rogers shows illustrations from the book "What Whiskers Did" and asks his viewers to think up their own words for the story; Henrietta is upset because Lady Elaine called her "chicken" for not peeking at Bud Alder's science experiment. Friday exercises with Willie Saunders and then watches Alder perform the experiment.

Mister Rogers builds a tunnel out of blocks and drives a Lego car through it; Trolley challenges himself by completing 100 consecutive runs on his track. Frank Napier shows Friday an iguana, a hamster, and a guinea pig.

Mister Rogers talks about the alphabet and puts on different kinds of glasses. He reads a book called "Willy's Silly Glasses"; Donkey Hodie uses a wallpaper roll to look at the stars. Grandpere sings a song. Friday works with a royal wallpaper hanger.

Mister Rogers and Bud Alder perform an experiment using salt and sugar. Later Mister Rogers plays with rod puppets; Friday watches Vija Vetra teach a dance class.

Mister Rogers shows a film of himself at the barbershop; X is missing. Willie Saunders finds him in the Rockit Factory. He's hiding because he's embarrassed after giving himself a haircut. Friday participates in an Eagle Scout ceremony.

Mister Rogers makes a Valentine's Day card; Joe Negri gives Valentines to X and Henrietta. Emilie Jacobson recites a poem for Daniel. Friday watches a group of tumblers perform.

Mister Rogers shows pieces of medical equipment and a film of himself receiving an injection; Henrietta is sick. Mr. Anybody, who is pretending to be a doctor, treats her. Friday learns a dance from Vija Vetra.

Mister Rogers builds with blocks; Donkey Hodie and Lady Judinaze say that is fun to build things and then knock them down. Friday is concerned about his flag.

Mister Rogers shows the letters of the alphabet and plays with two red balls; Josie Carey visits Daniel and X. Bill Stiles, a magician, performs for Friday.

Mister Rogers encourages his viewers to remember other times they have been together. He puts on an Indian headdress; Carol Saunders sings a song with Henrietta and X. Daniel listens to Irish stories. Vija Vetra performs a Mexican dance
