Soccer Aid - Episode Guide

Dermot O'Leary and Kirsty Gallacher host the pre-match build up and live coverage of 2016's big Soccer Aid match from Old Trafford. Robbie Williams' England team of celebrities and footballing greats take on Michael Sheen's Rest of the World, all in aid of leading children's charity UNICEF. This year's England side is managed by Jose Mourinho, while the Rest of the World squad is managed by Claudio Ranieri, boss of Premier League champions Leicester City. Famous faces in the England squad include Jamie Theakston, Olly Murs, Mark Wright, Marvin Humes, Paddy McGuinness, Ben Shephard, Danny Jones, Jack Whitehall, Jonathan Wilkes and John Bishop. The Rest of the World squad features Gordon Ramsay, Nicky Byrne, Shayne Ward, Matthew Morrison, Sergio Pizzorno, AP McCoy and Rickie Haywood-Williams.

Olympic hero Usain Bolt and global popstar Robbie Williams go head-to-head for the eagerly anticipated Soccer Aid for Unicef match, as part of a new look charity campaign for Unicef UK and ITV. Usain's Soccer Aid World XI go up against Robbie's England with competing teams made up of A-list stars and footballing legends set to walk out onto the Theatre of Dreams pitch this summer to take part in a game like no other.

The accomplished actor embarks on an epic journey to see how Soccer Aid for Unicef is helping children around the world. Since 2006, Soccer Aid has raised over £38million and James will see just how far that money goes. His mission is to take essential supplies to children living in three extreme locations - the Himalayas in Nepal, the desert surrounding the Dead Sea and a remote island in the South Pacific. For James however, the journey is one into the unknown, as he won't know where he is going on each leg of his mission until just before he leaves.

Freddie Flintoff hosts as eight celebrities take part in a cycling challenge to raise money for Unicef, following a route made famous by the Tour de France as they battle across the Yorkshire Dales to reach the finish line in Emmerdale. Team England's Alex Beresford, Sair Khan, Barney Walsh and Rebecca Sarker take on Team World's Keith Duffy, Maura Higgins, Joe McFadden and Zoe Lyons, with British cycling legend Bradley Wiggins putting them through their paces.

Following the comedian's bid to get match fit for this year's Soccer Aid match, as he works to improve his skills, stamina and physical strength with the help of a host of celebrities and sporting legends, including Rob Brydon, Eddie Izzard, Chunkz, Paul McKenna, Sven Goran Eriksson, Sir Mo Farah and Nicola Adams.

The England team is managed by Sven Goran-Eriksson, Micah Richards and David Seaman, while distinguished ex-pros such as Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Jamie Redknapp and Fara Williams are in the line-up alongside celebrities such as Olly Murs and Paddy McGuinness. Their opponents are guided by Harry Redknapp, Judy Murray and Robbie Keane, and a star-studded line-up features the likes of Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos and Patrice Evra, as well as legendary sprinter Usain Bolt.

There is also a special half-time performance by Robbie Williams.

Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2024 will take place on Sunday 9 June at Stamford Bridge, London with England taking on the Soccer Aid World XI FC in the world's biggest celebrity football match.
