Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off - Episode Guide

Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri meet eight rising kid chefs as their parents watch on from the parents' lounge. The young chefs will vie for the grand prize, which will give the winner his or her own Web series on FoodNetwork.com.

Rachael and Guy coach their teams of kid chefs on one of the toughest elements of pulling off a great meal: timing.

Inspired by the new Sony film Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs II, the kids must create extreme food mash-ups that look great and taste even better.

In the finale, the star kid chefs must use the lessons they've learned from Rachael and Guy to prep a family-style dinner for high-profile judges, including chefs Richard Blais and Jack Lee and TV star Jennie Garth.

In the Mini Challenge, the kids must decipher ingredients while blindfolded. Then, it's a Chopped-style Main Challenge, where a video message from Ted Allen introduces their head-to-head Mystery Basket challenge.

In the Mini Challenge, the kids can make whatever they want as long as the featured ingredient is the one they hate the most. In the Main Challenge, the Mini Chefs must use a sandwich as inspiration for a multi-component entree.

After tasting dishes their parents may have had as kids, the Mini Chefs choose one retro dish to modernize. In the Main Challenge, the kids create a classic Southern barbecue using ingredients that the other team picks for them.

Rachael and Guy invite Chef Robert Irvine into the kitchen to mentor the kids in the Mini Challenge. After working as a team to unscramble a jumbled recipe, each kid chef will execute their dish while Robert coaches them on.

The kids host a Food Festival where they cook and perform a live demo of their signature dish for a hungry crowd. The festival goers weigh in via comment cards, but the final decision rests with Chef Curtis Stone.
