This documentary series begins by exploring animal vision, a world where dragonflies see in almost every direction, a tiny crustacean boasts hexnocular vision and pigeons see 10 times the colour that humans can.

The documentary asks what makes a truly super-powered animal, scouring the globe for the strangest and most surprising animal skills and, in a round of competitive challenges, revealing which creature holds the title for super strength, most toxic, master of disguise, greatest escape artist and master builder.

Humans have impressive senses, but we can only see, smell and hear a fraction of what the world has in store. The powers of animals are simply extraordinary.
