The life of the florist Carlo, Giampaolo Morelli, a single father of five children, suffers a sudden shock when he meets Valentina.

Carlo is inconsolable: the existence of his five children has scared his beloved Valentina, who wants to return to her boyfriend Tommaso.

Valentina decides to forestall the wedding with Tommaso when he accidentally kisses Luce, the sister of his future bride.

Carlo tries to prevent Valentina from marrying Tommaso, and she decides to leave her boyfriend and go back with him.

Valentina, upon finding out that Carlo is married, feels deceived again and leaves him. Carlo decides to end his previous marriage.
