Journey Across Japan - Episode Guide

Our first day on the 2,000km cycle across Japan goes mostly according plan (except not for Natsuki).

Japanese Capsule Hotels are an experience everyone needs to have. (Only once). This week we escape from a Typhoon by staying in our own capsule hotel, and find ourselves lost in the tomb of Japan's largest pyramid (yes, seriously). 

Not far from Mount Fuji is Japan's biggest British theme park; a park so large it has its own working railway! This week on Journey Across Japan we visit the most iconic viewing point of Mount Fuji, wander the streets of a British theme park and maybe - just maybe - get a view of Fuji once and for all. 1,000 yen can go a long way in Japan's no.1 dollar store. With stunning views of Mount Fuji, the greatest car gadgets ever devised and Japan's cutest volcano, Joey and I end our odyssey through the Japanese Alps.

21 days. A 2,000km Journey Across Japan. Just one problem. We need a vehicle. And so with a budget of $1,000 we go in search of Japan's tiniest car. 

Our 2,000km Journey Across Japan kicks off as we head deep into the mountains to a town that time forgot. 

Japan's ramen capital is the town of Kitakata with over 100 ramen shops to choose from. We head to three and try the spiciest ramen of them all. 

It's been 12 years since the Fukushima Nuclear disaster and the $200bn clean up effort is still ongoing. We revisit the exclusion zone for the first time in 4 years to see first hand. 

Japan's nightlife scene is dominated by hostess clubs and snack bars. We head inside one as we continue our Journey Across Japan accompanied by special guest Ryotaro!
