He also gets his hands on an unconventional takeaway pizza recipe and takes a peek behind the scenes at a well-known high street Burrito chain. Alexis will be joined by takeaway loving twosome Ryan and Emma, a young couple who order out several times a week and joke about naming their first born after their favourite pizza.

He begins with a visit to an award-winning London chip shop that secures the best fish for its fryer by running its own fishmonger. Alexis Conran steps behind the scenes at a brand of KFC, as he looks to uncover the secrets behind the famous breadcrumb coating that gives KFC's chicken its distinctive taste. Later, Alexis is given access to a top London Thai restaurant to learn the secrets to making a perfect, authentic tom yum soup, before joining resident food scientist Dr Chris to help him try to crack the ingredients as he seeks to re-create a well-liked Domino's dish.
