The day starts badly for Beissl. No room for his fishing rod in the new house, a daughter who wants to study for her university entrance exams in a friend's caravan, and then the news that a body has been found in the Ache river. His colleague Jerry, with the help of the medical examiner, has discovered that the deceased was the victim of an attack, in which the perpetrator targeted his laptop. The dead man was a blogger. In his blog, "Denz Uncovers," he tried to generate reach with scandals that Johanna had previously researched.

Bernd Rappenglück, president of the Berchtesgaden whip-cracking club, is found dead in the courtyard of his bakery. Just the evening before, the club had celebrated their victory against their rivals from Garmisch at their clubhouse. Did things get out of hand? Ferdi Brandner, one of the whip-crackers, quickly becomes a suspect in Sophia Strasser and Jerry Paulsen's eyes. His possible motive: The refugee Alfons Nkmura, nicknamed Fonsi, was allowed to lead the whip-crackers in the prestigious competition instead of Ferdl. Thanks to the help of Rappenglück and the club's equipment manager, Toni Kainz, Fonsi had quickly integrated, which didn't sit well with everyone.

Theresa Geiger is kidnapped in a traditional manner at her own wedding, eats a cake provided for her while waiting, and dies. The coroner diagnoses an allergic shock. Her friend Cecilia, with whom Theresa ran a café, insists that she made the cake in the cabin specifically without nuts, knowing of Theresa's severe allergy. However, an almost identical cake containing nuts is missing from the café's cold storage—did someone secretly switch it with the one in the cabin? Caro, who knew Theresa, wonders who could have harmed her friend.

Beissl has become quite fond of dogs. He actually believes that dogs have no place in the police station. But Spezl is special and is in shock. His owner was bludgeoned to death – with a spade, as forensic pathologist Sonja Bitterling soon discovers. Werner Murrer, founder and trainer of the Berchtesgaden Search and Rescue Dog Association, lay dead in the parking lot of his dog club, guarded by Spezl. His girlfriend, Josefine Scheffler, is stunned: Werner and his dog handler teams had saved nearly 100 lives and had no enemies. Mountain farmer Josef Holler is an exception. He blames the deceased for his wife Uli being in a wheelchair. And then there's Lilly Wengert, who is angry because her dog Zeus wasn't good enough for Murrer's dog unit.

The day starts off badly for Inspector Beissl. His daughter Maria is standing at the door canoodling with a man who turns out to be her landlord Toni, the water in the house is cold again, and then he is called to a mysterious death.
A client at Eveline Schober's beauty salon suddenly died during a treatment. Forensic pathologist Sonja Bitterling quickly became certain that anaphylactic shock was the cause. In short: The deceased suffered from a bee venom allergy.

While Benedikt Beissl suggests to his daughter Eva at breakfast that she become a teacher, Jerry Paulsen rushes to the scene where a boy's body has been found.
Pascal has been bludgeoned to death. It quickly becomes clear that the boarding school student wasn't particularly popular with his classmates

Somewhat reluctantly, photographer Josef Märkel helps his girlfriend, climbing legend Anna Falter, with a photo shoot on the mountain. As he's about to rappel down, the safety anchor comes loose. Märkel falls five meters and into a coma. The anchor was deliberately removed. 

Beissl is to blame. Jerry proudly shows him the old pearl ring at the station, the one he plans to use to propose to Johanna – and Beissl drops it.
The pearl breaks free from its setting and disappears. Where is Jerry supposed to get a replacement? Jerry and Beissl have different ideas.
Meanwhile, the case they're currently working on is quite tricky. Ranger Timo Roiss was pushed off a cliff and was injured beforehand. 

A shocking morning for Ms. Maierhofer! On her way to the town hall, she finds the body of a man who has been stabbed to death in his car. When Jerry Paulsen tries to ask Sophia Strasser to drive him to the crime scene, he can't believe his eyes. The policewoman is waiting for him in plain clothes. And Max is pushing her desk into the hallway… Sophia Strasser is finally a detective!

Geli Kreiser is dead. Strangled, as the new medical examiner, Dr. Phillipp Hartmann, informs the two investigators, Sophia Strasser and Jerry Paulsen. Beissl is quite happy to get out of the house, because his wife, with the help of their daughters, is looking for a new dirndl.

Beissl is far from pleased when a police patrol brings his daughter Eva home. Eva participated in an unannounced sit-in protest against a bypass, which shortly afterward prompts the slick local politician Ferdinand Erler to pay Beissl a visit. And then Jerry and Sophia call to report the discovery of a body: Marlene Thaler, Berchtesgaden's advertising icon and the face of the Alpenkönig cheese dairy, has been murdered.

Farmer Gitte Schiller finds the body of her husband Lorenz, whom she had long believed to be dead, in a manure pile. He was buried eight years ago. But forensic pathologist Philipp Hartmann leaves no doubt that this body was alive just a few hours earlier.

Evi Mayr girlfriend of brewery owner Alois Ritter, is shot dead while preparing for a photo shoot. Her marketing ideas had caused conflicts, especially with Alois's daughter Lena. Investigators discover that Evi wasn't the intended target.
Meanwhile, at home, Beissl is struggling with mountains of laundry until Max helps him.

Elisabeth's performance with the brass band at construction contractor Norbert Grainer's 75th birthday party goes awry. Shortly before it's due to begin, she finds his son, the mayor, murdered. Jerry and Sophia initially suspect a jealous musician, and then the beautiful conductor, the deceased's girlfriend. Beissl worries that his daughter and Jerry might leave him for Frankfurt.

Hotel management student Samira Malouf, who fled Syria with her family in 2015, is found murdered in the hotel. Was it her colleague Julian Kunz, who disliked her, her brother Adil, or the candy manufacturer Butenberg?
Beissl is worried about Eva. His daughter still apparently doesn't know what to do after graduating from high school. 

Pharmacist Markus Wittig reads his own obituary and is murdered shortly afterward. Peter Lederer, the ex of Markus's girlfriend Tina, is the prime suspect, but trainee Lena also comes under scrutiny.
Meanwhile, Maria's boyfriend Toni successfully acts as a relationship coach for her sister Eva.

Sophia and Jerry witness a small plane go into a spin and crash. At the controls was amateur pilot and management consultant Pierre Gassner. There's no sign of his wife, Miriam, but a trail of blood in their house suggests foul play. Flight instructor Sascha Bick describes the deceased as an experienced pilot who had no enemies.
Meanwhile, Beissl, with the help of his daughter Eva, is preparing for a film shoot. Johanna's ex-boyfriend, director Tom Fosse, is flying in from Hollywood to shoot a promotional video about the Berchtesgaden police.

World champion, World Cup winner, fashion designer… Biathlete Laura Prell was something of a local hero in Berchtesgaden. She had just been discussing her biography with Johanna Beissl when her body was found in the woods. She had been murdered. Even the medical examiner, Dr. Hartmann, had tears in his eyes because he had so admired Laura. And Sophia blamed herself for having let the weeping Laura reject her just the evening before. Why was Laura Prell so distraught before her death?

Johanna had imagined things differently: When she tells Jerry she's pregnant, he's summoned by his father-in-law, Inspector Beissl, to a glamorous crime scene. In the mountain restaurant "Gipfelglück" (Summit Bliss), owned by the self-proclaimed gastronomy guru Herby Allgeier, the proprietor, Nina Allgeier, finds waiter Rudi dead one morning. Poisoned by a dose of cocaine laced with a pesticide, as Dr. Philipp Hartmann discovers. Cell phone data recovered by Caro Reiser reveals that the deceased had a mysterious girlfriend named Ana. He had planned to emigrate to Thailand with her. But initially, the detectives search for her in vain.

Beissl is faced with the fact that his youngest daughter, Eva, wants to study marine biology in Kiel. On top of that, he's deeply troubled by the murder of veterinarian Dr. Leitner, who was found bludgeoned to death in his brother Jakob's bird of prey aviary. A Saudi businessman had planned to invest a large sum of money there… While Beissl is relieved that Eva's gap year is drawing to a close, he and Elli are deeply saddened by the prospect of their youngest daughter moving out. Eva wants to follow her boyfriend to Kiel and study marine biology. But Beissl doesn't have much time to dwell on it.

Beissl and his wife are quite surprised when Ellis's 15-year-old niece, Ava, suddenly appears at their door from Berlin. In her backpack, she carries not only a pair of headphones but also a few secrets that will soon leave a sour taste in Beissl's mouth and make Johanna an accomplice. When has there ever been a case where one's own colleagues harass a family member for fare evasion? Professionally, the head of the Berchtesgaden police is also confronted with unpleasant memories. Six years ago, he was the first officer on the scene of a bank robbery – and he didn't exactly cover himself in glory.
Now, one of the bank robbers, Martin Zimmermann, has been murdered in the Böcklmoos moor, shortly after his release from prison. His accomplice, Vitus Neubert, was never caught, and the stolen money was never recovered.

Johanna Beissl arrives at her parents' house distraught. Jerry hasn't returned from a canyoning trip during the night. The weather is getting worse, and then comes the devastating news: a body has been found in the gorge.
Mountain guide Lucky, from Jerry's climbing group, has been bludgeoned to death, as Dr. Hartmann is absolutely certain.

The internet is down at the Beissl house. Therefore, Johanna has to personally deliver the news of the cabaret artist Kuno Horn's death to her father. He was found bludgeoned to death on a forest path. Beissl is devastated, as he was a fan of Kuno Horn and had tickets for his performance that evening in Berchtesgaden.
Horn's agent, Gaby Hoffmann, and the local promoter, Roman Meiser, are shocked by the cabaret artist's death. But suspiciously quickly, they replace him with the more "popular" comedian, Bast Moor.

A rat in the house? Beissl gives Ava an ultimatum: either she locks her rat Nemo in a cage or she has to leave. But before he can finish the fight with his Berlin relative and her furry friend, Jerry delivers another piece of bad news: Quirin Gruber is found dead in his stonemasonry workshop, buried under a massive slab of stone. Dr. Hartmann discovers he was bludgeoned to death.

The discovery of a young man's body in a wooded area leads Jerry and Sophia to the Heubl farm, where endless party nights have been infuriating the residents for some time. The deceased was DJ Dominik, who shared an infatuation with Ramona Sperr with the orphaned farm owner, Linus.

Biologist Valerie Lemke dies after a visit to a glacier. Dr. Hartmann quickly determines that she was pushed into the abyss. Jerry and Sophia investigate among her colleagues. Dr. Magda Hansen was a rival for Professor Gruber's affections, while Christian Wenzel was an environmental activist and a jilted lover. Even pharmaceutical manager Oliver Gross falls under suspicion because Lemke's research on blood algae was commercially lucrative.

Uproar in tranquil Berchtesgaden. A masked man is robbing unsuspecting citizens almost daily. Johanna's newspaper accuses the police of inaction. The owner of the local pub is slapped in the face, especially after a Mr. Pfeifer publicly humiliates him there. The masked man's latest attack ended in bloodshed.

Steelworks owner Annette Loibl is horrified – her blind daughter Charlotte has been kidnapped. The investigation focuses on Vroni Ketschauer, who was fired by Annette's partner, Ferdinand Mitterhammer. Sophia goes undercover as a security officer at the Loibl steelworks. She feels sorry for Vroni Ketschauer, a single mother struggling financially and harboring a secret, and is carried away by a rash action… Meanwhile, new colleague Franzi helps the grateful detectives Strasser and Paulsen install a call trace.

Are ghosts and monsters really dancing out there against the backdrop of the mountains? The next morning, camper Luzia is completely distraught, especially since her partner David has also disappeared. Anna Hinterweger, who happens to be driving by, takes the young woman to the police station, where Sophia and Jerry initially doubt her story because Luzia is clearly under the influence of drugs. But then they find David's body in the woods. The police investigation is inconvenient for farmer Paul Hinterweger, as he fears negative publicity for his planned holiday resort.

Dr. Hartmann summons the investigators to a refrigerated truck. After 15 years, the Blaueis Glacier has released Vroni Gagern's body. Because Jerry immediately notices that the safety rope has been cut, and because rumors have been circulating about the Gagerns' marriage, the police reopen the investigation. Soon, not only is widower Hannes a suspect, because he had an argument with his wife before her last mountain tour, but Eric Wolters, a physiotherapist, also falls under suspicion for medical malpractice. And what is Sebastian Niederegger hiding, whose wife Julia is currently pregnant? While searching for remains on the glacier, Veronika's son Moritz finds his mother's backpack and could shed light on the mystery.

Karsten Mehring, the manager of the upscale Watzmann retreat, is found dead in his official residence. Stabbed, as Dr. Hartmann determines. Judith Delius and Manu Högl, the center's founders, are devastated but unable to assist Jerry and Sophia with their investigation. The two women seem tense, having risked so much for the retreat. Did this prove fatal for the new manager? Perhaps Elli, Beissl's wife, can shed some light on the matter? Her former assistant at the tourist office, Daniel Kovac, has become one of the prime suspects! Elli can't let it go and begins her own investigation.

On her way to the Röder law firm in Berchtesgaden, Munich businesswoman Paola Wagner crashes her convertible on a mountain pass. She was attacked by a drone. When Sophia and Jerry visit the lawyer, Wagner's business partner, Sven Mielow, is waiting for her. He admits to having been in a relationship with Paola in the past and to having been surprised by her desire to leave their joint company.

The once-celebrated actress Gundi Sommer throws a lavish farewell party to mark the impending demolition of the villa where she lives with her sister Betty. The next morning, Betty Sommer is found lifeless in her wheelchair.

An antique dealer is found shot dead.
A valuable painting, "The Tears of the Madonna," is missing from his shop.
For Detective Jerry Paulsen, it's no coincidence that the notorious criminal Tarek Kristo has just turned up in Berchtesgaden.

While Paulsen and his colleague Sophia Strasser investigate undercover as guests at a hotel, Beissl finds himself in mortal danger.
