Turin, 1980s. Pietro and Rebecca are a young couple expecting triplets and on his birthday the waters break and they have to run to the hospital. It is not a birth like any other and there are complications.

They are both tried and overwhelmed by the handling of the little ones but, while Rebecca is impatient and furious about everything, Pietro tries to stay calm.
