Recently, a series of mound-like features were discovered in a GPR survey buried beneath the ground in the centre of the site. Time Team's geophys wizz Jimmy Adcock travels across the Atlantic to join a team of archeologists investigating these mysterious subterranean features. Could the origin of these mounds provide the answer to why Poverty Point's prehistoric inhabitants chose this location for their ancient city? The team has just three days to find out!

In July 1944, an American B17 bomber aircraft, ‘Little Boy Blue', crashed over the fields of Suffolk. Of the ten crew, just two survived, with three still officially unaccounted for. Time Team's Helen Geake joins an international team from Cotswold Archaeology and Operation Nightingale to investigate the scene of the crash, in hope of shedding new light on the events of that fateful day.
Working with the US government, in fulfilment of its ethos to ‘leave no man behind', the mission aims to repatriate the missing airmen, and provide closure for their families.
In this moving feature-length episode, the team pay their respects to the ‘Masters of the Air'.
Note: This is a formal DPAA recovery mission, led on the ground by Cotswold Archaeology, supported by Operation Nightingale, Cranfield University, local volunteers, and the US military.
Special thanks to landowner, Steve Honeywood, for his generous support of the mission.
