What’s the Story in Balamory? Beloved stars to return to iconic children’s series

Original stars of Balamory, Julie Wilson Nimmo (Miss Hoolie), Andrew Agnew (PC Plum), Kim Tserkezie (Penny Pocket) and Juliet Cadzow (Edie McCredie) are set to reprise their roles when the revamped series airs next year on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.

What’s the story in 'Balamory' ? Beloved children’s series to return to CBeebies

The pastel-hued, fictional town of Balamory is set to return to screens, BBC Children’s and Education announces today. Commissioned for two new series on CBeebies, families will be able to enjoy the home-grown storytelling about the much-loved nursery school from 2026 and will once again be filmed in Scotland, whether in original location Tobermory or other Scottish location such as Rothesay.
