Mitya, a sexologist, returns to his native village, where his profession causes discontent among relatives and local residents. He is in love with his neighbor Polina, who is divorced from her husband and helps people with unusual problems. Mitya creates a meeting to educate the villagers, facing their bias.

Mitya decides to start educating schoolchildren and conducts "first aid" lessons. He helps Roma, who is bullied by classmates and who has difficulty communicating with adults. Mitya understands that the enlightenment mission will not be easy.

A villager comes to Mitya with problems in her personal life, and he helps her with family therapy, while earning a black eye. Mitya finds a secluded place for his consultations in an abandoned camp, where he meets a ghost. The situation with his new job is becoming even more difficult.

Uncle Grisha asks Mitya for help in order to deceive the commission at the hospital. Mitya and Grisha fake death and arrange a miracle resurrection. Egor mistakenly begins to think that Vera is Mitya's daughter, and they go to the witch grandmother to find out the truth.

Mitya finds Polina's friend, Olya, an interesting person and goes on a date with her. Mitya offers to help Egor with family counseling, but along the way it turns out that Polina still loves Mitya and does not want to return to Egor. Mitya is faced with growing feelings for Polina.

Mitya helps a teenager with a problem related to the hair on his hands, and is faced with a misunderstanding by his parents. Egor continues to consult with Mitya, trying to win back Polina's love. Mitya starts dating Polina, hiding it from Egor.

Mitya helps the sewage disposal Valera with an intimate situation, and also solves problems in his personal relationship with Polina. He and Polina begin to spend time together, despite her attempts to avoid him. Mitya experiences awkward moments in their relationship.

Arkady Ukupnik arrives in the village, and Egor asks him to serenade Polina. Mitya helps the singer to cope with low self-esteem. But after that, Ukupnik quarrels with the locals, and the wrath of the village falls on Mitya again.

Polina proposes to Mitya and dreams of leaving for St. Petersburg, but he is not ready for the wedding and does not want to leave. Egor makes a spectacular gesture to bring Polina back. He learns about Mitya's secret profession and gets a powerful trump card.
