The first brand new Time Team Special featuring Sir Tony Robinson premiered Saturday 30th September 2023 at 7pm (BST) on the Time Team Official YouTube channel. The eagerly anticipated documentary sees Time Team working with Operation Nightingale in an English village linked to the United States Army’s most famous regiment of the Second World War – the legendary ‘Band of Brothers’.

This is the Role-Ending Misdemeanor for Mick "The Dig" AKA "Mick the Twig". Mick Worthington's role on the series came to an end after he refused to show Tony Robinson some data he'd received over dendrochronology. It was the first and last time a contributor had done so on the show. It was unclear whether this was because of the way he'd behaved over it, or whether it was because this violated the show's mission to show the archaeological process inclusive of all its mistakes, puzzles, hurdles, and embarrassments.
