Lame Ducks - Episode Guide

Having been kicked out by his wife, Brian Drake heads for the country where he intends to live the solitary life of a hermit. But hermits are not expected to collect people en route.

Brian Drake is still heading for the country with Tommy, a cured pyromaniac, in tow. On the way they collect two more kindred spirits, Angie, a hitch-hiking girl, and Maurice, a ball-walking postman.

Drake has found his dream home in the country, but his ex-wife is still determined to make life difficult for him. She sends Ansell, a private detective, to hunt him down.

The day of the ball-walk test run, and Drake and company find that another 'outcast' is all set to join them.

Drake and his companions find that their peaceful way of life is threatened by a visit from a near neighbour, the glamorous and unpredictable Mrs Kelly.

An invitation for the Lame Ducks to attend Mrs Kelly 's once-in-a-lifetime party. But when Angie decides to leave for the coast Drake and the others realise just how lost they are without her.

Mister Drake , would-be hermit; Angie, free spirit; Ansell, ailing detective; Tommy, reformed pyromaniac; and Maurice, round-the-world ball-walker; are settling in quite nicely at the cottage at Scar's Edge. Then Angie starts to find flowers - Drake and Ansell hear about Harold - Mrs Kelly arrives dressed in black - and the peace is shattered once more.

The lame ducks have found a new home - and Drake decides on a spot of do-it-yourself.

Maurice makes a friend and Ansell does a mean military two-step.

When Mrs Kelly 's barn burns down, suspicion falls on Tommy - but why does Vicar Pennyjohn hate churches?

Drake and Angie disagreeabout the weather. Tommy brings his new girlfriend to meet the others. Mrs Kelly stays to tea.
