As an unpopular club, the Mingcheng tug of war team is led by an unreliable coach named Lei Ming, who gathers eight newcomers with various personal motives to form a team on a whim, preparing them to compete in professional competitions. They suffer a devastating defeat in their first match and are ridiculed. Thus, they start the "rise from the ashes" battle, stumbling yet growing.
