The series centers on prosecutor Fang Wei and follows a team of prosecutors as they pursue truth and justice through a series of complex cases. The main story revolves around Wei Feng, who is suspected of sexually assaulting and murdering Li Ran. Fang Wei joins forces with Xu Yishan, Chang Kaixin, and Zhou Yan to investigate the case. Despite numerous obstacles—including the suspect retracting his confession, pressure from the families involved, and intense public scrutiny—the team carefully pieces together the evidence and ultimately uncovers the conspiracy behind the crime. Alongside the central case, the series features several other investigations, including Zhou Yumei's murder of her husband, the Zhao Nanfeng murder case, the case involving Luan Pingping, and Cui Xiangqin's attempt to frame others through her suicide. As Fang Wei works to uncover the truth, he also faces personal and professional challenges that push him to grow.
