Sabasaki Ryo is a shoemaker and salesperson who innocently approaches any woman who catches his interest. It makes no difference to him whether the woman has a boyfriend or a spouse, and although those around him deride him as a "player" and a "jerk," he does not care in the slightest.
While enjoying a convenient, "almost-lovers" relationship with Tsutsui Momo, a dentist ten years his senior, Sabasaki also takes an interest in Momo's best friend, Hotta Kyoko, a mother of three. Driven by his desires, he finds himself wavering back and forth between the two women.
