Dark Shadows missing episodes

First, thanks for adding the series. When I went into it I notice there was a issue with the first 229 episodes of the series. They were missing from the list. The bottom of the list says list is truncated because of the number of episodes then when clicking to show the rest of the episodes the same list comes up without the earlier episodes. I do know that they were coming up on IMDB where I found the show id number from. If this is something that has to be entered in manually let me know, also with the episode names they are listed as for example DS-300 etc. Dark Shadows had a series of over all story arcs that started periodically. When working on the series info as I watch it again is it okay to edit the Episode Name like DS-300 to DS-300 Dream Curse Begins, etc. This would give viewers a episodic time frame for when Barnabas's story starts, Laura Collin's Phoenix story, Adams Story, Victoria goes back in time etc. And will let people know how far away they may be from a favorite part. The story title start after the episode ID would only be periodically. If the early episodes from the very beginning have to be entered manually, I have complete story lines, I just do not have the air dates.

Yes, those have to be entered manually, sadly .(

Is it not possible to import the rest of the episodes from TheTVDB? It's already present.

Edit:
Looking at it in general, TVMaze doesn't have a description for any of the episodes (see here) whereas for (at least all the episodes I checked) TheTVDB, it does - honestly I'd just suggest overwriting all the current as well if that's possible

They do not appear in our importer. I guess it has something to do on their side.

And copying TVDB's summaries will not happen with the importer. Most of these episodes are copied from other sources we most likely do not know and might bring copyright issues. We prefer our members to use official ones given by press releases, Networks or simply create one yourself.

Last time I watched the series and taped it off Sci-Fi channel (it was Sci-Fi then) I started a text file for my reference on my computer with a one line summary for each episode and also put where each story arc started on my file. So it will just be a issue of adding in the missing episodes and expanding my one line summarys just a bit for each episode. My concern is getting the correct air dates in for the missing episodes on the list. I looked at my description of the show when I requested it and the more I thought about it, the more I thought that it would be more in line with the shows format to change the main show description to Victoria Winters style when introducing each episode so I edited the main description a little while ago accordingly. I think it better describes the atmosphere and follows Dan Curtis's original intent.

For the airtimes, you can also look at other sources if you are unsure :)

I discovered that I already had a source for the episode air dates, years ago I downloaded detailed episode lists that detail everything that happened in each episode and these lists have the original air dates on them and also tell what episodes were consolidated into 1 episode when originally aired so it will work out great. One last thing I need to know, there were only 5 seasons of the show. Do you want it left the way the episode list imported in for you? It imported with a total of 12 seasons. Fixing this over time will mean a Season section with 290 episodes listed per season to give you a correct, as aired episodes per season listing.

We should do it as it is correct, if you want to fix it all, you are more than welcome :)

I will work on it off and on, getting all the missing episodes in and then go from there. This will take a little bit. Have a good one. Since I love gothic Horror this is a good job for me, fun to do. I just have to make sure I don't let my own website slide. Have to add more parrot toys and update it. <chuckle>.
