Is a production executive the same thing as a Executive Producer? Just wanted to make sure I am entering data correctly when converting.
A production executive is someone who oversees production for the studio or production company...they're not a producer but more of a monitor...someone who keeps tabs on things and serves as the communicator between the production and the studio brass who funds the project
Often it's a third party offering his services to a studio, but wouldn't call him an executive producer to be honest as their role is different than the one I just described here above.
Okay then I will not mark any production executives as executive producers. I kinda suspected they might be two different things.
