Shows airing on Network TV and a different version on the Internet

I was wondering if there is a policy to handle a situation like what is coming up for "Big Brother"? They are currently airing Season 18, it has been renewed for Season 19 & 20 for summer 2017 & 2018. The different is later this year a new version will air not a part of the main show on the Internet on CBS All Access or CBS SVOD not sure which? So my question would be can we set up a 2nd new series for this since it is airing between Season 18 & 19 and will have a different Host? We can't make an Entire Season of episodes Specials can we or should we?

Here is some of the advance information:

For a second consecutive time CBS has given a two-season pickup to its summer reality staple Big Brother. Seasons 19 and 20 will air in summer 2017 and 2018 with host Julie Chen returning. The renewal comes on the heels of CBS All Access picking up an extra season (digital edition) of the veteran reality series to run on CBS’ SVOD and live-streaming platform this fall.

A suggestion would be to have it entered as 'digital' - but perhaps see how CBS numbers it? It also looks like from the article on Deadline that the digital version will still have Julie Chen doing hosting duties - so no different host (at least from the very early reports).

If I understand the article correctly, the "digital big brother" is completely separate version with different guests. In that case, we'll simply create a new show entry that starts at season 1.

OK, thanks for your response David. I would submit it today but I'm not sure what the Network/Internet site is and I assume that it is not on the site yet so I would have to request it be added to the site first am I correct in my assumption? If so and you know what the site is can you please add it and then I will submit the show if you want me to?

Well -- every new season has different guests. :-)

I suspect the format of the show more than anything else will push it towards needing to be a separate entry - but no details of that format have been released at this time. I suspect a tighter integration with the 24/7 feeds than is possible on traditional broadcast.

Of interest is that many sites and fans - and even Julie Chen herself - are referring to the digital series in articles and online as 'Big Brother 19' - keeping the sequential numbering intact from the broadcast version. Julie hashtags tweets about it with #BB19. As of yet - I haven't found this representation of numbering on CBS itself. But if CBS itself refers to it as 'Big Brother 19' as more details are released - that would seem to make a strong case for keeping the show numbering intact.

I have read that several places however CBS released a press release late yesterday that stated it would be independent of the Network show that would continue it's normal Season numbering with 19 next summer and 20 in 2018 so all those reports are wrong according to CBS. I just double checked on CBS ALL Access as well.
