I am working with the API and am getting a total of 47 items for today.

This appears to be just the list of popular shows for the day. Is there a way to get the complete listing of shows for a given day?

The schedule API endpoint is complete. Can you give an example of what would be missing?
Please note that we only provide premiere airdates for shows; not "listings" information where re-runs are included.

In reading the documentation a bit further I think I now understand it a bit better. It looks like, for a given show, you can determine its schedule for today and future airings from using the following endpoint with the show id:
http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/1/episodes
This should remove the need for me to read from the schedule endpoint. I was just wondering if it was a complete aggregate, but based on your answer it appears so.
