Too Close to Home - Episode List

ChuckCcs wrote 9 years ago: 1

Your 'Episode List' for 'Too Close to Home' shows episode 1 and episode 2. Both should be combined as Episode 1. Going to TLC shows the entire 1st episode being 85 minutes long, as they are combining episode 1 and 2 as being the first episode (Episode 1). https://www.tlcgo.com/too-close-to-home/

Also, the TV Database (TheTVDB.com) shows Episode 1 and 2 (what you show) as just Episode 1: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=315186&seasonid=676074&id=5700306&lid=7

My apology, I understand how busy you are in keeping up with this site. I saw this second area for posting and felt this was the more appropriate area to place it. Thank you for your reply.

I did and understand how you arrived at your decision.

Hi, I understand their after show and video clips is following your listing, but their actual numbering of episodes is indeed episodes 1+2 combined. The way they number their episodes should take over some after show/video clips on their site, especially since it's now written clearly "Highway 16, Season 1, episode 2."

Regards

Hmmm, it still says:

After Show Episode 3: Highway 16

this is pretty confusing, lol

Why not ask the twitter account of either too close to home or tyler perry... Because tvdb is NOT an official source, grousp aren't either and make mistakes like every body else, tlc may have it wrong (Fox had something wrong for Lucifer and it was rectified after Joe Henderson was informed of the issue), but Tyler Perry won't be wrong.

But case in point the "first episode" was 1 hour and 30 minutes, subsequent episodes are around 42 minutes.

Futon critic which had it until last week under 101/102, 103/104, 105/106 corrected it http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/too-close-t...

I know for sports events and "non normal" stuff futon is pretty wrong, but for shows, they're usually right. And they corrected they're listing. But again the best way would be to ask Tyler perry, i have no issue asking him on twitter, or i can ask one of the actors.

I think futon is correct now and we have it correct now too, but you are of course correct too, we could contact him :)

I tweeted him, let's hope he does answer

Just some general comment here. TheFutonCritic go with production numbers, and double episodes usually get 2 (to reflect that they get 2x the funding..etc) while "groups" consider it 1 episode if the 2 episodes air back to back with no break / end credits in the middle.

So imo none of them are right all the time, so it's smth to be considered on a case to case basis.

No answer from Tyler Perry twitter account. Hoping to hear from TLC now, but their site is still unchanged, and they have a new episode airing tonight.

TLC official site

To be fair, it's 8 episodes ordered and only "7" aired. All the groups realized it was two episodes in one as they jumped a number last week. Not that groups are to be trusted, the mess they did with last season of murdoch mysteries is atrocious.

Please consider the policy for two-part episodes: http://www.tvmaze.com/faq/15/episodes, under "Episode Number".

Did the episode air as a single continuous piece, or did it contain some kind of break halfway or two separate credits? This will determine how the episode is listed here, regardless of what their site says.
