Should the website page say "Discussion" or "Comments"

It is traditional to label the existing comments about a show or episode "Comments". TVmaze uses "Discussion" as the label, but the section of the web page used to add a comment is labeled "Leave a comment". This is inconsistent and could confuse inexperienced users. Some websites use "Join the Discussion".

My suggestion is to change from "Discussion" to "Comments".

yeh, that sounds more consistent to me too, but it also does not bother me that much :)

Calling shows acquired instead of available on the watchlist bothers me more. Shows are available to watch (online), they're available to stream ..etc.. Acquired to me sounds like someone worked really hard to find another word for downloaded (as in torrents).

On the contrary, I think it's more suitable as it covers a wide range of sources;

Purchased/Rented/Borrowed, availability on streaming service, recorded on set-top box, promo video you have access to... and yes, downloaded (legally or illegally)

Hi drbits,

Discussions consist of comments. Doing a simple google search yelds enough results of sites following the same type of labelling as on TVmaze. You're the first to point it out. If more users are bothered or confused by it we'll consider changing the wording.

@aidan: gazza hits the nail on the head as to why we use the word 'acquired'.

I use "Acquired" when I add a video to a playlist to watch later, or when I have the episode on DVD or DVR'd it to my cable box.

RE: Acquired,
How about "Prepared to Watch". Alternatives include "Wishlist" or "Queued"(in the queue for Netflix [confusing to newbies], or the wishlist for some other site). "Acquired" means in possession (legal or not). The examples I know are downloaded (including DVRed) or the Disk has been obtained. "Acquired" definitely does not apply to streaming.

RE: Discussion,
Many websites use Comments and some use Discussion. What concerns me the way they are combined. Grammatically, it is a loss of referent between the Discussion and Comments section. I am asking you to choose one or the other.

I think Jan's statement makes it clear that nothing will be changed unless other users express a concern, so far even with this dicussion open, no-one else is complaining about the way we have things :).
