Adventure Time 'watched' info getting lost

LouisWu wrote 9 years ago: 1

A few weeks ago I noticed that Adventure Time episode 7x15 - The More You Moe The Moe You Know (2) re-appeared in my watch list. This is probably because the original double episode entry was split into two separate entries. Is it possible to keep (copy) those user statuses when this happens?

All I can say is that it is correct to have it split, it has different directors and writers :)

Okay, I'll bite :)

Is having separate 'section' crew (in this case the directors differ) the deciding factor on whether to use one or two episode entries? Quite possibly I missed that discussion, but until now I went with how the episodes premiered. If they aired on separate days, or simply back-to-back, that means two entries. But if the onscreen information is for both episodes at the same time, it makes more sense to me to lump them together as one. Because of the way US animation is produced, this happens more often than you would think (and also for AT 7x14/15).

To answer the original question:

Not in the current system as the new episode is manually created as normal.

Thanks Gazza. The fact remains that data is being lost this way. Of course I don't know what the current admin tools are capable of. But it would be nice if this functionality could be added in one way or another.

The policy says if there are different cast/crew it should be separated, it also has two production numbers, which also indicates that these are two different episodes :)

So onscreen info no longer trumps everything?

Aidan wrote 9 years ago: 1

While I agree on everything else Juan said. Looking at production numbers that way is wrong. 2 production numbers often just means they got 2x the money to make the episode, nothing else. Also worth noting that thefutoncritic likes to make up prod. numbers where there aren't any.

It does, on screen they especially say Part 1 directed by... and Part 2 directed by ... :)

JuanArango wrote 9 years ago: 1

Hmmmmmmmmmm,

it seems I am mistaken, tho all sites on the net say part 1 is directed by... and part 2 is directed by.....and they all say its 2 episodes.

I got no strong feelings about this, just want to have it the correct way added.

I cannot access the US official site, do they say part 1 and part 2 or do they refer to it as one ep ?

cheers
Juan

You can check using a proxy or VPN.

Under the videos section, they have it as 1 episode;
