Snowflake code killing my cpu

jt4703 wrote 8 years ago: 1

Please tell me the code I need to add to some css or adblock to turn off the snowflakes or give an option. TV maze tab now taking 100% cpu after refreshing. Closing the tab cpu use goes back to normal. Other tabs do not give a problem ONLY tvmaze and only since I refreshed it today and see this snowflake code.

Hi jt403,

Thanks for reporting. The snow is gone.

Aw, I liked the snow. You could just tell people to use adblock or something to block the code "www.tvmaze.com##div[class="weather snow"]", instead of removing it ;(

Agree with Rune. I didn't mean for the snow to go away for everyone, I just needed an option to turn it off. My decade old rig doesn't run extra code bits well anymore and I couldn't find the right code I needed to hide it on MY end. Thanks Rune! I'll add that code blocking bit to my filter and Jan can put the snow back in for everyone else! :) Thank you!

The snow is coming back guys... I'm not home to fix it so it was easier to temporarily remove it.

Cheers,

Jan

Hi guys,

Performance is now about 3-4 times better than before.

If anyone is having issues please let us know.

Not issues I just don't like it when a tab which should be doing nothing but showing me my calendar as simple static text is eating up cpu because of a bit of animation off screen, even if it is only a couple of percent.

No biggie, I just blocked it again using ublock.
