Web Channels or Network Channels which will be more important here for the future?

Web Channels does not allowed for airtimes so shows on web channels can never appear on the daily TV schedule. I think this needs to be looked at again please?

Here is the situation that will become a Very BIG problem someday soon. Apparently all the shows that air on the Network Freeform are now available to be seen first on their web channel Freeform.com. This would mean all their shows will have to have there airing source changed from their Network to their Web Channel. This in turn means the air dates will have to all be changed to appear as 1 date since you can stream the entire season at once. This also means no shows appearing on the daily TV Listing schedule for them.

How many other channels are doing that now that we are not aware of? I think ABC is doing some if not all of their shows now that way?

If most other Networks begin to follow suit and air 1 or more episodes on the web before they debut on TV does this mean sooner or later no more TV Schedule daily listings are needed from that point on?

NOTE: It sounds like to me that someday, maybe not this year or next year but someday TV's will become extinct and all shows must then be watched on some other type of device, cellphone, PC, etc? If it ever comes to that most of us will need 2 or more PC's, 1 to work on and 1 to watch shows on at the same time while we work correct?

Networks or Network Executives are force feeding us shows that we must stream!

It sounds like that sooner or later that web channels will begin taking over the world?

The problem is, that webshows have a different airtime for everyone in the world, they are available worldwide alot of times, and episodes are also available at the same time, for example a series has 10 episodes and they are all available at 8pm, so this is a very difficult subject.

You're right that we have to adapt if this starts to become a regular phenomenon. If the majority of the shows premiere on a web channel instead of a network, the "schedule" as we know it would become irrelevant.

I think for now it's too early to start making any changes, but we're definitely watching how this will play out.

Thank you very much for commenting. It may not become a problem this year or next but my "Magic 8-Ball" says "You may rely on it".
