Exact AKA match not showing

Hello, the show Kimi to Boku. is not showing in the search when using its AKA name, You and Me.

Normally an exact match would have a higher score and show high up, obviously there will be other factors involved like the weight (popularity) which will boost shows, however looking at the API search there's only 1 show with a non-zero weight, so that isn't affecting it.

I noticed that the word and is actually skipped (you can see by using multiple and without it affecting anything, or just by seeing 0 results when you only search for and). I assume that because of this it isn't treating it as an exact match and so isn't being scored as high as some of the others.

Either that or exact match of an AKA isn't boosting it enough.

This is indeed how the search function is written. For the real show name, exact matches get priority over non-exact (even if they are more popular) matches. But this isn't the case for AKA's, they're scored on the same level as non-exact matches with the real show name. So an AKA with three extremely generic words like "you and me" can be outranked by a show name like "You Me Her".

I don't know if this should be changed. It would give AKA's a lot more power and potentially pull in a lot of crappy and confusing matches into the search results. I'll think about it if and when a lot more than one obscure show is affected. :)

Ah, okay. I would have thought that it would have been in-between non-exact on real show and exact match.

I.e A boost of about 1.5 - 2 (exact match on real looks to be 3 or 4, but that's just a guess).

Only reason I was asking is because if an English name has only been given for a dub, it will only be added as an AKA name. However with more people on TVMaze being English speaking, they're more likely to search for the English name.
