some general ideas

I think this site is doing a fabulous job.I'm also a recent rollover from TVrage, even though I came here before they went postal, and I'm not trying to duplicate anything from there, but there were a few things that would be nice to see here as well. I know we have our own Calendar of favorite shows, but maybe also a schedule. The schedule that is here now is just a general one, could it be a personalized list of our favs and what we follow?What about a countdown to favorite shows ? When they'll be beginning for example? I have one more little thing but this isn't rally a suggestion.. I just though since I was here I could add this :).. Searching for shows in the filtering section... I see there is the option of running or ended.... I've seen many shows that come up still running when I know for sure they've ended...eg. CSI.. does this mean it still runs repeats? Or it's still running fresh episodes? For me personally, running means fresh not just active, or is it just a slight error? Not trying to be bitchy :) Thnaks.

CSI won't be officially ended until the final show Sep. 27.

Sometimes it can be that we forget to change a show to "ended", if you see such a thing we are happy if you change it to ended :)

For the other ideas, david or jan will reply.

cheers

what about a live ( or even a 10 minute delay) shout out box from the home page :)

I really like/support Tinalessia's idea of having a personalized Schedule (kind of like with the Calendar view) ;)

My 2 general ideas for the site are this:

1. First I want to thank you for adding in "Themselves" to the choices of "Male" or "Female". My first idea is also adding a 4th choice of "Animal" if you will allow animals here on the site that appear in almost if not every episode? Rin Tin Tin, Lassie, Fury, Flicka, Trigger, Champion just to name a few off the top of my head without any research?

2. Is it possible that locked Forum threads appear after open/active Forum threads please so there are less pages to go though searching?

These suggestions below have probably already been mentioned before but thought I'd add them in this thread anyway.

1. Being able to comment on a user's profile, of course that's if they have it open and not private;

2. Similar to the above but being able to message other users

3. A comment section on a TV shows main page instead of only being able to comment on individual episodes.

2. is already in beta stages and available to staff members, so keep your eyes looking out for it :)

1. and 3. are nice ideas, especially 3. makes sense as we already use it on the episode level.

cheers
Juan
