Don't change any actor/actress his/her name into another one, while he or she is already credited for a show. It will mess up our system and show. I've spotted someone doing this already, but this is not meant for that.
You can edit their name if there's a small error in or not credited yet for any specific show, but do not change an actor into a complete different person, once it has been credited already!
Once we have a duplicate of an actor you could inform us and we will fix it :)
I've noticed a bug that is maybe related to this. While I was adding cast for a show and adding an actor, the system suggested me an actress, but later I found out that the actress just has the same name. So now I deleted the character from the show and added a new character with also a new actress with the same name. If I search for the actress name the system shows me correctly the shows she is starring in. But if i click on it on the "original" one it still shows me she is credited for the show where just the other actres with the same name ist starring.
Example:
http://www.tvmaze.com/people/84818/lee-min-ji shouldn't be on http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/3505/detectives-of-seo... like the search also displays.
http://www.tvmaze.com/people/85163/lee-min-ji is the correct actress for this one.

Usually it might take some seconds to minutes to change the lay-out, no worries right now as it is changed automatically, however once there is an extra actress with a similar name added, it will show both names with the ID behind it to choose the one you want :), so this problem might not occur for that specific person anymore. You just need to sort out which one you want :)
Thanks for being alert Thomas! I'm considering locking down the "name" attribute of a person to Trusted Contributors and up, as we do with shows.
As for the bug, I think I see what you mean. It looks like a caching issue; I'll try to reproduce it. Thanks for the heads up!
