API Show updates questions

Hey,

I'm new to the API and have some questions about the show updates method (http://api.tvmaze.com/updates/shows).

Are the updated-values of a show also updated when there's a change to episodes of this show (e.g. a new episode) or is this just changing when the show-information itself changes?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep track of some series + episodes without having to iterate through schedule or episode/show method often. Just need to know, if this is also an indicator for episode changes/adds.

Fair question, and I'll explain that one more clearly in the documentation soon.

The updated property is "recursive": if anything under a show (an episode, a cast/crew credit, etc) is created, updated or deleted; the show's updated property is updated.

Nice, exactly how I need it :)

Investigating further I found out that some shows don't have an updated key/value in the show-method itself.

Here's an example: http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/3

I can just save the time when I fetched this, but I wonder if this is a bug or intended. They are still in http://api.tvmaze.com/updates/shows though. But comparing this to http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/1 it's different.

Yeah, apologies for that, it's a caching thing - not all cache entries have expired yet, so this relatively new attribute won't be included everywhere yet. It should be fixed within 24 hours.

(That's why I didn't formally announce this addition yet)

I might change to tvmaze, even if tvrage ever comes back ;)
