I created a thread for this but I guess it was removed so trying here instead.
Using TVmaze as a Information provider with Kodi accurately gives me information on One Piece season 1 and 2 when all episodes are in a total sequential format (i.e. not in seasons like anime can be sometimes, e.g. Season 1: 1-41, Season 2: 42-78). Season 3 and onwards are simply not recognized.
Can this be fixed please?

this sounds strange, I am not sure if the problem is on our site or on Kodi's site, @david , any thoughts?

Your thread hasn't been deleted. It's here: https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/5173/inconsistent-episode-numbering-in-kodi and @david has responded to you there.
GOLD RUSH - Could you please delete episode 25 dated 03.11.22 "Rick Goes Home" ? This is actually the 03.11.22 episode of GOLD RUSH: The Dirt, and it is already entered on that page.

The title of show 33934 https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/33934/uchuu-yori-mo-tooi-basho-a-story-that-leads-to-the-antartica
Correct and official translated title should be: A Place Further than the Universe
Put under AKA: 宇宙よりも遠い場所: A Story that leads to the Antarctica
Also "uchū" is not correct here, it is "sora", so "Sora yori mo Tooi Basho" (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Place_Further_than_the_Universe#cite_note-6).
Some sources:
https://anidb.net/anime/13257 (see "Official Title")
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7836688/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ql_sm
https://thetvdb.com/series/a-place-further-than-the-universe
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/76059-uchuu-yorimo-toui-basho (They also got the uchū part wrong, but they have it under alternative titles)
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=19828
https://myanimelist.net/anime/35839/Sora_yori_mo_Tooi_Basho
It's also the title on DVD and Blu-ray releases (e.g. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/A-Place-Further-than-the-Universe-Blu-ray-BOX-Blu-ray/288358/)

That was immensely quick, thank you! Although now there's the Japanese and English title together in one ;)
It should only be "A Place Further than the Universe".

I will have to disagree here. The official site quite clearly calls it 宇宙よりも遠い場所: A Story that leads to the Antarctica (Sora yori mo Tooi Basho: A Story that leads to the Antarctica) so that is what should be used here. Just because an anime site calls something an official title doesn't make it official when the actual official site uses something different
https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/58459/life-on-earth-a-new-prehistory - this is French documentary. Can you change title to French original - "Les mondes perdus"?

Yes, that is the full official japanese title on release, "A Story that leads to the Antarctica" being the subtitle to the kanji part. Like I said, put it in the AKA section.
Also official: 宇宙よりも遠い場所 (Kanji only), Sora yori mo Tooi Basho (transliterated latin) and A Place Further than the Universe (international). So which one you wanna use? I get that you want to use official japanese titles over unofficial translated ones, but if there is an official translation, why not use it? What about Attack on Titan, should we now rename it to 進撃の巨人 Attack on Titan? After all, it's the title that the official site uses. Same for Neon Genesis Evangelion, official site says 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン.

So all of the cited sources above are wrong?
As I'm new to this site (in a contribution capacity that is) I am not sure what the consensus is on TV Maze, use the translations as main title or always go for the original title (not just anime, also for example cyrillic or arabic script)? I'm genuinely curious, not here to ruffle feathers. I read the data policies, but it seems I misunderstood something.

We only use kanji if there is no transliteral title and only english title if that is actually used by the official site, here the official site calls the subtitle A Story that leads to the Antarctica not A Place Further than the Universe so surely that is also the official subtitle we should be going with and the other one as an aka.
Generally speaking we can use the sources you mentioned to check things against but official sites, official press releases etc always takes precedence - there is also an order in the policies on the order they take precedence.
Gotcha, thank you for taking the time to elaborate.

No problem, anime can be a bit of a hassle at times because of the many official and unofficial translations they sometimes have :)
