I have both seasons and just checked how he's credited in both and he is always credited in the same group with all the other guest cast, never with Darren McGavin who is credited in the opening scene alone, and also alone before all the other guest cast in the end.

Its BBC, I didnt watch the show but since its only just finished airing I would tend to agree to be determined would be right, sometimes we can have years between one drama series ending and another beginning. They also sometimes announce a second series of a mini series too 😂.

But at the moment the series is considered a miniseries and no renewal, right? I would closed it, and if someday a second season is announced, then always can open it. I do not see any fundamental difference in this regard with, for example, "Vigil".
