Because Netflix is a streaming service which is available worldwide and all original series of them are released world widely, therefore we do not tie Netflix to a certain country, even when their headquarters are within the USA.

But that's not always the case with Netflix, at least through the API:
Godless => Netflix, no country ( http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/13634 )
The OA => Netflix, United States ( http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/6763 )
I think the lack of country should be consistent across all Netflix shows (and those of similar online platforms)
