Maybe next to the date of birth add their age in brackets.
Maybe add a field for Twitter handle.
Would be great to show relations between people also, spouses, children etc

First one seems alright to add.
The second one isn't a bad idea either. We'd need to discuss if that's the way we want to go or implement a different alternative.
Your last point: We've actually discussed this at the very beginning when we were brainstorming about tvmaze.
We'd like to do this in a visual fun way but it's quite a bit of work. So it's on 'low prio' right now.
