Exlude shows from watchlist

Hi TV Maze team,

Please add a function for shows "Exclude show from watchlist", so we will be able to keep our watchlist clean, but still be able to follow shows.

I would like to be able to follow a show I have not seen or not completed without having it showing up on my watchlist.

For example, I have not seen a show and plan to do so somewhen in the future, until then I just like to see the shows I am currently/actively watching on my watchist, because I do not want to scroll through all of the other stuff everytime.

If it is possible, it would be very helpful to do this temporarily, like having a button "hide from watchlist for ...1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year".

Thank you for considering this. Keep up the good work!

Best

arcturus

You could more or less accomplish this with tags: https://www.tvmaze.com/blogs/1/organize-your-watchlist-and-calendar-with-tags

If you sort your watchlist by most recently watched, the shows you are not currently watching stay at the bottom. So at least you don't have to sort through them until you want them.

Tag your shows as 'watching' and only show these.

Same thing is missing from the calendar, though.

On the calendar you can change it to only show those a specific tag by clicking the Most Popular shows / My followed shows dropdown and selecting a tag.

You can also set what it uses by default in your Site Preferences (Default Calendar View | Filter).

Sorry, I totally missed my own point here: The iCal calendar for importing in your calendar app doesn't filter anything.
That one should also filter the same way. Currently it just shows all followed shows.

I would be happy to consider adding tag support to the iCal endpoint. That'd likely be a premium-only feature though.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I will use the tag-feature then to organize my watchlist. However, I would recommend adding a button to show-pages where you can set "don't show/exclude from watchlist".
