Awards shows cast listing

Just wanted to ask if there is a 'proper way' to list cast for awards shows- in particular, the hosts. For the Kids' Choice Awards, I added the host(s) on as guest cast for their respective years. However, viewing the Oscars, the hosts there are added onto the series itself, then added in the 'cast' section of each episode, not 'guest cast'.

Is there a correct way of doing this or no? Should both just stay as-is, or should one of them be fixed if it is incorrect? The host information is all correct for the KCAs, but I'm just not sure how it should be listed. Thanks in advance!

Everyone seems to be doing it a little different, so either way is fine.

Personally i prefer to add the host as main cast and performers as guests, but that's up to you.

I would agree with this. A host of a awards show is (normally) present through the whole show, much like a chat show were we would class them as a star, whereas guests are the ones who present the awards, perform or receive an award.
