Okay, so I thought it might be better to get away from the edits thread, so people don't have it clogging up requests.

Hehe, not all shows have 16:9 aspect ratio... Hawkeye has a movie aspect ratio of 2.39:1 (or 21:9) :)and https://www.tvmaze.com/images/958958/so-this-is-christmas-image-958958 looks upscaled form a lower resolution, doesn't look like a native 4K res. (look at his hair / face details ... blurry)
Hey @puffosul it is upscaled, but so are the other photos in the gallery? I did take it from an already good quality photo, so should I just go back to the original image?
Sorry, I'm just trying to get it all straight.
Upscaled pictures are not allowed, simply because if you change a picture resolution to a higher resolution does not make the image better :) It makes it worse, the quality drops. The image becomes blurry.
In terms of changes to the resolution, we do crop some pictures (if they have black margins << this happens usually with the shows that have a different aspect ratio than 16:9, or if the official website provides 4:3 aspect ratio pics - like amazon)

Okay, I'll go back to the original images. Delete the ones I uploaded, and I'll do the thing :)
I would like to point out that the other images in the gallery are all upscaled too, if you search those images, they are not that size.
@PandaRed Delete the last 3 pics from Hawkeye you uploaded?
Can you be more specific about which other images you think are upscaled? :)

Yes thanks, please delete.

The 3 pics deleted.
About those pics, yeah, they don't look crystal, but probably that's how they were on the official website. They do look a bit grany.
Cheer up. Regarding this topic... The only edits I make to the pics I upload are: cropping (for black margins or aspect ratio) and Levels/Contrast/Brightness if the picture tone looks different from the rest.

Thank you.
Or downscale & crop for aspect ratio :D (usually happens with shows from Oprah Network or Bravo because they provide pics with different resolutions, some very high res. and random aspect ratio :), so I try to keep all the ep. pics to the same resolution)

Yeah, pics from HBO also look grainy in FHD (1920x1080px), I hate those, but that's what they're providing. :) But captures from the episode can also be used.

Okay last thing and I'm gonna drop this, I swear. It's not a capture because when the Tracksuit Mafia approaches the tree in the ep, it's already down. All those pics are from the same place I got them, the disneyinformer.

Some pictures could be BTS pics (Behind The Scenes) - pictures taken on the set while they film it (they provide these kind of pics in the press releases for the next episode for promoting reasons) :) Those also are not allowed because they are not part of the episode footage.
The official website should be the best (and #1) source for the pics.

So for fairness, take them all down I guess? Though I'd argue for keeping promo shots as long as they are in universe and don't show cameras. I and some other users don't have access to HDTV, and don't always have the time to look through an episode and screen-cap it. And the one screenshot I did take on my computer was taken down, so I don't know what to say to that.
Anyway, my original point is that those pics are identical to the promos, but have be changed so that they're at a different resolution. I know this has been rather long and tedious, but I appreciate you taking the time. I'll drop it now.
