Linked Shows

Can we create a feature to allow TV shows to be linked to each other.  You already show 'Related Shows' which appear to be 'you may also like', but I'm suggesting a much more formal direct link between shows.

I've just found that this new show has been created https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/62679/24-hours-in-police-custody-the-murder-of-rikki-neave.  This will be a one-off, two episode show but cannot be added to the main show (https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/4156/24-hours-in-police-custody) because it would breach various (completely valid) policies; however as someone who uses this data to be aware of when new episodes of a show are available, I really would like to be aware that new episodes are available under a new show.

I think there should be very tight rules around what qualifies as a 'Linked Show', to be decided - but something like: Should be directly related, aired on the same network (or sister channel i.e. BBC1 and BBC2) and made by the same people, designed to compliment to each other.  I don't believe international versions would be valid (maybe that is a different link feature!).

I see this feature also applying to "after shows"; which people often see as essential viewing as part of a series, but are clearly stand-alone

A couple more examples of linked shows would be: "Taskmaster" and "Taskmaster: Champion of Champions" and "The Apprentice" and "The Apprentice: You're Fired"

Thanks for your consideration :)
Ben

Related shows are exactly the feature you are looking for :)  Police Custody is already linked!

You're completely correct - I've just has a closer look at 'Related'; I thought I was seeing only loosely related stuff, but I see not - thanks.

Is this data available via the API?  I can't find it...

Many thanks

I am no expert on the API, @david or @gazza911 need to answer this :)
