Here I see that Hugh Laurie played in 20 episodes of Veep. But I don't see this information anywhere in the API documentation. Is there a way to get this?

Unfortunately no, we don't currently expose guest cast entries in the API.
Seems like a serious oversight.
The information is available on the tvmaze.com site, per show. Just not via the API. At least the Guest Cast members.
Seems like you should be able to embed the guest cast in the episode details API call.
How hard can it be to add this?
