I think these programmes must be the same content as a series but it appears that Channel 4 have their own ideas on how to list episodes so I have found marking A&E eps as watched impossible. Do we know if there's Channel 4 data for this anywhere so it can be added, making marking as watched a dream instead of a nightmare please?
Channel 4 have never to my knowledge shown the series on the channel. I'm not too sure what it is youre asking - but it's not rare at all for foreign broadcasters to buy a show in like this and show it out of the original order.

Thanks for your reply Tom. I'm most upset not to be able to mark off the channel 4 eps I'm watching. Are you absolutely sure it's not the same? I've never come across this before, where there is no record for a programme with so many series.

I also investigated a bit, it is the same show that is airing on A&E in the USa, Channel 5 is just listing it differently.
The current Channel 5 eps (season 15) is whaht A&E lists as season 15 on their schedule.
For example: Channel 5 showed "Adate with death/ Paid in blood" as Season 15 Episode 15 on Mon Sep 19.

For the record Channel 4 aren't showing these episodes, they are been put on the streaming service run by the channel All4 (soon to also be renamed Channel 4). Channel 4 are starting to show episodes on Monday nights at midnight. But again these aren't the original UK airings of the show. Crime & Investigation network air new episodes of the show in the UK and our alternate list is here:

Thank you both for your interest and replies. What I'm seeing on the programmes page of Channel 4 (it's not channel 5) and the pages you have directed me to are different. I think perhaps it may be because I pay £4 per month for no ads 'All4+' - I have tried my best but remain perplexed at not being able to match anything up with Channel 4's programme page - neither the pages you have directed me to or 'The First 48' A&E TVM episodes page. If I continue trying to find what does not exist, I'll be needing A&E (UK's Emergency Room, Accident & Emergency)! 🤭🤣
