Danger Man

Scream wrote 10 months ago: 2

Hello.  I was making edits three years ago to this series.  I was given permission to continue. I have retired now and have a little more time to help out with edits as I  have since purchased this series on dvd.  I would like to put up the entire guest cast for each episode.  I think I still see how to do it ( unless there's a limit to how many guests can be included). Is there?

This is going to take me years to complete as I  would be putting up the information as I  watch the episodes-and I don't watch them every day.

Can anyone tell me if I  still have permission to do so and if there are any restrictions to how much information I put up?  Thank you all.

You're more than welcome to do as many edits as you'd like.

In the beginning you will reach some so-called editing checkpoints where someone from the staff will check the edits and clear you for more, but they'll get less frequent as you go along.

So welcome and thank you for helping out !

Thank you for the guidance.  I just now added to the first episode of Danger Man, all the guest stars from the ending credits.  In doing so, I noticed a couple things I hope someone can clarify for me.  For instance, when typing in a name as a guest star, I would sometimes receive their name before I finish typing it-along with some shows they have appeared in (in parentheses).  I don't know them from those other shows nor can I be absolutely sure if I've got the right actor (suppose in some of those early, obscure bit parts for actors that by now, the information has become corrupt in some way by new faces with the same names-and by my selecting their names....I end up going down the wrong path)  Just a thought.

Also, in at least one example of my entering guest star information, a photo was included.  I can't know if that photo is representative of that actor since it appears to be an older photo of him-not as he appeared in the episode.  In fact, I don't know how to enter information of the guest stars photos as they appeared in the episode.  A  TV screen shot of them is all I can think of, but it's liable to turn out a bad photo doing it that way.  Not to mention if I could be violating any copyrights.

So I am wondering if someone could check out the information I have entered for its validity. This is what I hope to do for every episode. I would welcome your suggestions.  Thank you

Without me knowing the show your edits seem to be fine.

If you receive the name before yopu finish typing you need to be sure that it is the same actor, if it is now you need to create a new actor.

Character photos can be screencaps, there is no problem with this.

thx :)

Hello again.  I am continuing to input guest casts to these episodes.  Recently, I am inputting data on the episode The Sanctuary and the guest star I inputted has a photo of a youngster by the same name (Keiron Moore).  I reedited my input to not show this actor's picture.  I then found a photo of the older actor by the same name and inputted it into the Gallery for that episode.  But unfortunately, I don't know how to make the Guest Star  for the episode show the new photo.  Can anyone help?

Hello.   I continue to work on this series providing guest star information per episode.  It is a long haul as I watch episodes on dvd infrequently, and then record the information on this site.

I have run into a situation regarding the episode 'The Girl Who Liked GIs'.  Someone other than I has posted two guest star roles.  I don't usually run into any posting on a series this old.  The information is correct, but it appears to come from IMBD.  I just read that that postings from IMBD are not allowed.

I take my information from the end titles of each episode and therefore what I post is what is there in the end credits.  IMBD, for example, lists uncredited roles for episodes. These two entries seem to bear the hallmark of IMBD.

What gives them away is the uncredited reference and the other's is its character's full play name.  Episode end credits do not list the character's full name in this case, nor do they ever list uncrediteds.

I am  asking for guidance in what to do to 'clean up' this episodes guest cast listing and how to edit (or delete - if I have permission)  entries.  I'd like to know how much information is too much information for entries to be made and perhaps why IMBD entries are not allowed....which clearly gives too much information.

Personally, I like all the information I can get.  But I want to conform to your guidelines.  There are several times when I can remember a characters full play name from an episode.  But the end credits would only list it as the characters last name.  I debated....do I put down the full character name as I remember it from the episode I just watched....or do I list it just as it appears in the end credits?   I opted to list it as it appears in the end credits.

I would appreciate any input in this matter as to how to proceed.  As this episode now stands, there are two multiple actor listings and one uncredited.  The rest of the guest cast listings are mine as they appeared in the end credits.

Thank you.

Taking them from the end credits is exatly how it should be done, :)

Please let me know what needs to be deleted, so I will take care of it.

Hello again and thank you for your information.  I apologize that it took me so long to respond but I don't monitor this site but once and a while.

To let you know the guest starts that need to be deleted.....it is Uncredited  Chris Adcock  as Ambulance Man.  And Nigel Green as Col. Heinrich Wetzel.

Now, Nigel Green did guest star in this episode, but the end credits list him simply as Wetzel, not Col. Heinrich Wetzel.  As well did Ambulance Man....but he was not in the end credits.  That's why I think that information came from IMBD.

I supplied all the other guest star information for this episode.

Thank you very much for replying to this old tv show thread and I hope you see my response here.
