Uncredited character question

kolbdog323 wrote 13 days ago: 1

What do you do if want to add a character who was uncredited in the episode but was also voiced by an actor who was credited for a main character in same episode do you add the character as a guest star but add uncredited even though the same actor voiced a credited character in same episode who is part of the main cast

Can you simplify your question. Where is the evidence that a show star is voicing a uncredited character coming from?

Wander over yonder sometimes an actor voiced two characters in same episode but doesn't show up in the actual credits for the second character

Or should I just add the character to main cast even though the character itself is a guest star for that episode even though same voice actor

But what is the evidence that this happened?

How are the actors credited is it just actor or actor and character

kolbdog323 wrote 13 days ago: 1

On the actual credits for the episode for all 3 sections since three in one episode only shows the four main cast members then one guest star character at the end of the full episode it doesn't show the voice actors for the other voiced characters. The video for the episode is on YouTube so can see what I'm referring to.

But im asking what's the evidence that Bob Bobby voiced Carl other then seeing a video if it doesnt mention it in the credits?

Are the characters credited against the main actors?

Never said who the character was and never mentioned the name of the actor I was just asking what to do. And where did you get carl and Bob Bobby from I never said who it was.

Just wondering if behind the voice actors a good website and would all those characters be credited or uncredited if trying to find who played what character in an episode that might help answer my question

kolbdog323 wrote 13 days ago: 1

Since a lot of times can't find who voiced what character in credits or other websites

TomSouthwell wrote 13 days ago: 1

Your answers are all over and I still don't know how the credits are presenting main cast vs guest cast. Bob Bobby was a made up name to give you a example.

We have a policy set up for animation because of how ambiguous credits can be, I have linked this to you previously, I'm not sure you're following it but its here. Some characters will never have the actors credited to them for animation and that's something we have to come to terms with.

Behind the voice actors is not a good site to use and often has incorrect credits too.

I would advise you look at the animation policy here. And also take a look at what sources you should be using here. My advice would be unless you find a credible source, any actors appearing get a Additional Voice credit whether starring or guest, if guest starring and they get credited with a a character name the Additional Voice credit should be added as Uncredited. If Show Stars are only credited by name the Additional Voice character can br added as main cast, if they get credited with a character name, again the Additional Voice character needs to be a Uncredited Guest Star.

Okay thanks sorry about that I just never added that type of character before so wasn't sure what to do that's why my responses all over the place

Also fyi you are incorrect about behind voice actor if you go to their forum if registered user every person who added a character and actor links a legitimate source where they got their information from

As a member of staff on the site whos worked on animations, the site is incorrect and invalid. I am telling you it is not a valid source, if you are using it you are using a source not on the list I've provided above, we would have to review your edit access if you're telling me you are using it.

Never said I was just giving you info about it

Why do you need to give me information about it if I've said not to use it and explained why already?

kolbdog323 wrote 12 days ago: 0

I just found out about that site recently

kolbdog323 wrote 12 days ago: 0

But I don't use it all the time just if can't find info anywhere else about if they played that character it's last resort

Again - Please do not use the site as I have already told you, there is no last resort the animation policy took ages to craft and literally gives you a what to do in any circumstance. Ive answered your questions, although youve barely answered mine. I've given you multiple reasons to not use it under any circumstances. Yet you continue to basically try and provoke a reaction, I dont know what you want here.
